Emalyn [EM] Lopez is a Bay Area pin@y artist and designer who has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master’s degree in Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has showcased, and been recognized for her art, design and film works at the New York’s National Art Director’s Club, Washington DC’s Earth Echo International Student Environmental Film Festival, University of California, Santa Cruz Open Studios, San Francisco’s Kearny Street Workshop, Manilatown Heritage Foundation, National Japanese American Historical Society, Academy of Art University Gallery, 111 Minna Art Gallery, Life+Times, Okayplayer, Oaktown Music Festival, Ottawa International Animation Fesitval, Imagen Awards, and Cinearte. Emalyn spent most of her life in San Francisco and is currently residing in El Cerrito, California with her husband and two daughters, working as an educator and freelancing in design for local companies, nonprofit organizations and musicians in the bay area. She also enjoys photography and painting.
